Posted : (Thursday 2nd November 2006 ) By - Jane (Registered User)The Multi Sensory Room at Whitemoss Club for Young People is for children, young people and adults with ADHD or learning disabilities.

The room includes Rompa's own OPTIMUSIC SYSTEM. Bubble tubes, Star magic carpet, Touch machines and projector with various scenes.

Completed in February 2003 the club now has a purpose built room designed by Rompa Ltd and kindly funded by Manchester Childrens Fund, Awards for All, Asda Harpurhey, St. Mark's Church, Charlestown Community pub, the late Roy Williams.
Junior club members went bag packing at Asda during the Christmas period and raised nearly £2000 in donations. Even the electricians worked for the cost of materials only. Thanks to Steve Cooke and Mr Dunne. A total of £16000 was raised.

Thanks also to Karen Connor who motivated the project as her own son has Special Need disabilities.

Manchester City Council's Targeted Play are funding and supporting our new WHITEMOSS FUN CLUB. This is held on Wednesday evenings 6-8pm for children age 8-13 years with Special Need disabilities. The evening has proved a great success.
