Posted : (Thursday 15th February 2007 ) By - Jane (Registered User)The Manchester District Music Archive is calling for everyone to dig out their music treasures which will be exhibited in the world's biggest archive of items from the Greater Manchester music scene.

They'd love to get loads of stuff in from fans, promoters, band members...anyone really. Old bands, new bands, anything. And they're looking for really personal items from photos of people taken with the drummer of the Hollies in 1962, or whatever, to old gig tickets stubs, programmes or posters. It's basically anything to do with music in Greater Manchester over the last 50 years or so.

Nobody has to actually part with anything - all they need is a scan of the item and the story behind it. All people have to do is go onto the MDMArchive website and there's full details on how to do it.www.mdmarchive.co.uk
