Do you want the community hospital to continue to develop its services?
Do you want the hospital to continue to provide health services to South Manchester? Do you want the hospital to develop its involvement with local people by offering space and facilities for community groups including schools etc?

Become a Friend of Withington Community Hospital

We are all getting used to the periodic changes in the health service. Management changes, organisation changes, but the needs and wishes of the patients and public remain the same.

When the changes happen; services get lost, promises get forgotten, and accessing healthcare often gets less convenient.

By becoming a Friend of Withington Community Hospital you can add your voice to all the users of the hospital to make sure that the views of the patients and public are brought to the hospital Management. As a member you will have the option to attend meetings, discuss changes, vote on issues affecting the hospital or even stand to become one of the officers such as Chairperson or Secretary. It’s up to you! In addition, you will receive a newsletter of what's happening at the hospital giving news of new services and facilities available to the public.

Initially the Friends of Withington Community Hospital will be set up and run by Manchester Health Watchdog, your independent health voice. As soon as the organisation become self sustaining, elections will be held and it will be left to the membership to carry the organisation forwards and decide it’s future activities.

The community around the old Withington Hospital fought long and hard for the hospital and now that it is here, the people of South Manchester need to make sure that it provides all the services and facilities of a true community hospital.

We hope you will join as and help to protect the services already provided and help to develop Withington Community Hospital into the community facility that it was always intended to be.
