(Registered User)Do you have space in your home, life and in your heart, to foster or adopt?
Manchester City Council is always trying to find alternative families for children in Manchester who are unable to live with their birth families. We need adopters and foster carers from all different cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds to best meet the needs of Manchester’s diverse range of looked after children.
We need to recruit another 300 carers across Manchester, we need short-term and long-term foster carers, carers for asylum seeking children, adopters and short break carers for disabled children.
Wherever possible, we try to keep brothers and sisters together: they are often of different ages or have different needs, making it difficult to find a family to look after them.
We also need people who have the patience and understanding to care for and support teenagers during what could be a difficult period in their life.
You can be single or married, homeowner or renting, straight or gay, employed or unemployed. We will provide you with preparation, training, support and a weekly allowance. You will need patience and commitment for a task that you will find very rewarding.
Manchester City Council looks forward to hearing from you
