Manchester City Council is offering £40,000 per ward for imaginative projects that make Manchester a better place to live. Almost anyone can apply, whether friends and neighbours or voluntary, community or
resident groups.

If you were awarded money to help improve your local community, what would you do with it?

Manchester City Council is offering grants of up to £40,000 per ward to local residents to help you make a real difference to your community. You can do anything that improves or brings benefit to your local area, such as improving existing community facilities, creating a community work of art, or improving a piece of waste ground.

Almost anyone can apply - friends and neighbours, or voluntary, community and residents' groups. All you need is a project based in Manchester that will benefit Manchester residents and which you can see through from start to finish.

Your project needs to be in keeping with local ward plans, which you can get from your Ward Co-ordination Support Officer.

For further information about Cash Grants and to find the details of your Ward Co-ordination Support Officer visit: www.manchester.gov.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?categoryID=200047&documentID=202

or to request a Cash Grant application form contact David Hilton on 0161 234 3016 or e-mail: voluntary.sector.grants@manchester.gov.uk

Funding decisions will be made by Ward Co-ordinators after consultation with local councillors.
